DOs and DON'Ts
DO use great lighting- no back lighting.
DO use notepad to jot info from intake appointment. Most important: Diagnosis & Risk Assessment. The rest can come later :)
DO close blinds behind you.
DO frame your face in the center of the screen.
DO use a stand to elevate your laptop so your camera is at face height.
DO show up professionaly dressed. We are casual but respect the occasion.
DON'T type on your laptop while meeting with client for intake. Immediate connection breaker. Use paper and pen.
DON'T have pets in the room. Period.
DON'T do therapy with a client who is driving. (liability and ethical issue)
DON'T assume your client can see and hear you. Check-in often.
